Yes, that is Graham. He has been doing that gig now for a few years.

This I did the Canada Walk of Fame TV special and Paul Anka was one of the inducties.

Yes it is Graham Lear playing with him on his live dates. I didn't get a chance to talk to Graham, he sounded nice.

Brian Blade, was also playing on the show with Daniel Lanois.

Would of been nice if Vinnie was there doing the gig:-(

Looks & sounds like Brechtlein, to me...[doesn't mean I'm anywhere close to being right ;-)]

If it is indeed GL, hats off to him...he sounds great on there.

I heard that Graham Lear has been doing Paul Anka's gig for some time now also. Graham has always been a great player, but if you haven't heard him since the older Santana and Vanelli days he's really turned into a modern sounding player a la Weckl, etc. There was a Gino Vanelli CD a few years back called 'Yonder Tree' which Graham sounds great on - another underrated player!

Graham Lear is "Gino Vanelli approved", so he can be considered great [img]wink.gif[/img] . Great jazz and latin chops on that Yonder Tree. I love this CD. Graham also did drum programming on the follow-up "Slow love" along Garibaldi.

VC w PA, huh? Well, PA was, of course, an immensely famous & popular crooner with the masses within that genre for many many yrs...different, & interesting.

Yeah, Boone's done it...

Has the potential to be either A] surprisingly good, or B] disasterous novelty [if for him only].
But with the type of players he'll have [including VC], it goes w/out saying that the music should be well-performed.

If anyone gets word on whether Vinnster is doing the Letterman TV date, let us know...I'll try to watch it anyway, just out of curiousity.

Thx 4 d heads up...I'd heard murmurings...but it's not like I'm one of PA's crowd or "posse," or anything...word. ;-p
